Over fifteen years helping companies and organizations of all kinds improve their environmental impact through design.

We are a team of consultants and designers with 15 years of experience enhancing the impact of organizations and their products, creating more resilient models that benefit businesses, people, and the environment.

With cross-cutting expertise in circularity, we address material impact, production, logistics, and waste management, among other areas, developing tailored circularity strategies for each one. Our multisectoral experience in industries such as furniture, packaging, lighting, and electronic devices gives us a broad and strategic perspective to deliver innovative solutions that generate aded value.

80% of the environmental impacts of products or services are defined in the design stage

At Nutcreatives, we see design as a powerful lever for environmental and social transformation. Since up to 80% of a product’s impact is determined during its design phase, making the right decisions from the outset—materials, production, usage, and end-of-life—is essential to align with circular economy principles.

Today, new regulations are rapidly reshaping the landscape: the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) are pushing companies to measure their environmental footprint and implement reduction plans. In parallel, we are in a moment of unprecedented access to funding for sustainability, innovation, and digitalization projects. This convergence of pressure and opportunity makes ecodesign not just relevant, but urgent—and strategically vital.

Life cycle approach

The life cycle of a product consists of five phases: raw material extraction, production, distribution, use, and end of life. Each of these stages generates environmental impacts, from resource and energy consumption to emissions and waste generation. However, much of how the product will behave throughout its entire life cycle is defined in the design phase.

Designing with prevention criteria allows us to anticipate and reduce these impacts before they occur, laying the groundwork for effectively resolving impacts. On the contrary, restorative solutions — such as recycling or emissions offsetting — are implemented once the damage has already been done. Although these solutions are necessary, they have limited capacity to reverse the accumulated effects. This is why, rather than focusing on healing, we at Nutcreatives are committed to designing solutions that prevent damage from occurring in the first place.

Circular design

Design can anticipate future challenges and develop solutions to address them, playing a crucial role in a company’s strategy. Following the principles of elimination, circulation, and regeneration, among others, design can influence up to 80% of a product’s environmental impact throughout its lifecycle.

At Nutcreatives, we have extensive experience in creating new products, and packaging under sustainability criteria, striking a balance between design, sustainability, and technical expertise.

We guide you through the execution of projects by integrating suppliers and experts from our extensive network of contacts and collaborators. Our goal is to bring your ideas to life while conducting impact assessments to ensure the best possible environmental and social outcomes.
