Why?
Spaces and people's needs are constantly evolving. Sometimes we want to reorganize, transform, or even expand our surroundings. In this context, modular products offer the flexibility needed to adapt to changing situations without sacrificing functionality. Additionally, companies often seek solutions that are easy to produce, require low investment, and have clear market potential.
What?
Rio is a modular shelving system that allows different configurations depending on the use given and the space in which to be located.
Rio consists of two different modular pieces: the single and the double shelf. Modularity results from their simple and replicable shape and the range of colors. The system allows infinite number of combinations and layouts.
The single shelf is the perfect support to decorate your home with some lying books, a small lamp or an accessory object.
The double shelf includes a small bended face that acts as a stop for vertically placed books or magazines. Additionally, it has a small recess perfect to put the cable of the phone charger.
Modularity enables adaptable combinations that adjust to each user’s space, needs, and pace. It allows components to be swapped, added, or rearranged—always preserving functionality.
HOW?
Both shelves are made from steel, a 100% recycled and recyclable material, and locally produced in Barcelona.
The production processes and materials of the collection are extremely easy to find (cutting and bending a steel sheet), so all is produced at a radius of only 3,6 km, promoting industrial relationships between medium and small companies.
