Lina

Starting from the premise of combining technology, design and sustainability, Nutcreatives has created Lina, a LED suspension lamp designed to illuminate work or dining tables. Lina lights up in sections depending on the area we want to use, saving energy because the whole lamp doesn’t have to be on if it’s not necessary.

WHY? Incorporating technology into products to make them more interactive or intelligent is today more than a trend, a reality. In parallel, greater technological complexity makes it necessary to incorporate sustainable design criteria so that this complexity does not lead to a greater environmental impact. When commissioned to design and produce a unique and technologically advanced suspension lamp, we considered that efficiency, good materials and the best user experience were the way to go.

What? Starting from this premise of combining technology, design and sustainability, Nutcreatives has created Lina, a LED suspension lamp designed to illuminate work or dining tables. Lina lights up in sections depending on the area we want to use, saving energy because the whole lamp doesn’t have to be on if it’s not necessary. It’s activated in a contactless mode thanks to proximity sensors without the need of touching the lamp.

HOW? Produced from a solid milled oak slat, it houses a led strip divided into three sections, each one with its own proximity sensor for its activation. It is designed so that the steel tensioners that hold it transmit electricity from the driver to the lamp, thus eliminating the need for cables that would distort the minimalist and technological image of the product, in addition to reducing the number of materials and components.
