Blend

Blend is the result of the collaboration with the renowned ceramist Rosa Cortiella. Together, we designed a collection of extruded vases handmade produced locally in her workshop. It is a artisan project that allowed us to experience the clay extrusion. We develop 3d printed tools to prototype the vases.

HOW? In a first phase, printed test nozzles were used to choose two models and move on to final production with laser-cut metal nozzles.

Besides, 3d printing helped us to get tools to cut the extruded ceramics, improving the cutting quality of the parts.

WHY? Blend is the result of the collaboration with the renowned ceramist Rosa Cortiella. Together, we had the opportunity to produce those vases previously designed and modeled in 3d in our studio.

WHAT? The modular vase collections were developed from an experimentation process combining additive technology with artisanal extrusion of ceramics.
