Y

Y is a construction game that allows the player to build infinite modullar abstract structures, with the aim of just to play and to experience geometry. It's composed of two different pieces with an Y shape that can be connected in groups of 6, 7, 8 or even more elements creating beatiful organic patterns that remember mollecules.

WHY? We wanted to experience with geometry to create an structure that has finally become a construction game, but with solutions that can be applied in larger scales, like furniture or architecture. Modularity is one of our obsessions and something that we always try to introduce in our designs, and that's why a free project allowed us to push modularity to the boundaries.

What? Y is a construction game that allows the player to build infinite modullar abstract structures, with the aim of just to play and to experience geometry. It's composed of two different pieces with an Y shape that can be connected in groups of 6, 7, 8 or even more elements creating beautiful organic patterns that remember mollecules.

HOW? It can be produced in a 3D printer and it's an open source project that can be downloaded here. We recommend to print the game in PLA mixed with wood, because the wood gives a nice and warm touch to the game that makes the pieces more comfortable to handle, but it can be printed in normal PLA filament or other materials as well. Try it and please send us a picture of your design!
